We are launching an online Ivko store! It’s about time!
http://store.katrinleblond.com/ Spring 2013 collection is bohemian and contemporary, romantic and urban. This year’s inspiration comes from many sources combined to create sweaters so dreamy and fresh, you might want to own two! Every year, there are new hand drawn renderings of botanicals. This year the Ivko flowers are often outlined in black and connected to curly ivy or vines.
For the not so boho woman, Ivko has mastered the graded stripe. Where colour blocking is the new trend this year, graded stripes are the Ivko interpretation, masterfully positioning fantastic colours in just the right combination for the “wow” effect.
Light and dreamy, the graded stripe cardigan is made from fine spun mercerized cotton. It has lace and solid knit jacquard sections. Sometimes gently transparent, it is perfect for Spring and Summer over a cami, or a dress. The splash of colour on the front panels is bright and contemporary. The back of the cardigan has graded stripes and an abstract feather pattern.
Here I am (at the end of a long rainy day…) in my new favourite top: The Peace tunic in coral. I liked the material when I purchased it, but wearing it for a few days…now I love it! It got a lot softer and almost feels like well loved linen. The embellishments in the coral tunic are tone-on-tone coral petals.
This is the part we do in the studio. We take the cut pattern pieces and pin little mini petals (that are all hand cut) into position. Then we sew them down with a decorative stitch creating a pretty ivy pattern.
Below is the cutting table covered with beautiful tiny petals and piles of the prettiest scraps.
Each set is hand cut, pinned and stitched. Each one is a little different making it true craft.
The colour combination for the white blouse is pink, red and green. It turned out soo pretty, but you’ll have to come to the boutique to see the final product.
