Snow princess make up
Getting dressed up for the holidays is another way to get yourself in a festive mood. I love having a Christmas dress that I wear only once a year. I know it’s an extravagance but it makes the day feel extra special for me. Every two or three years I buy a new dress for my daughter to wear at holiday time too. It starts our special holiday day off with the ritual of dressing in our special dresses. Here is a fun way to finish off your special look for when you are ready to join your friends and families.
Your life is your most powerful art. See you at the boutique.

This is about Betsy. She said to me on the phone that she wanted a rainbow wedding dress. I was delighted. Just my kind of project. We talked and I got a sense of her personality and then I took the time to make my first three sketches.
Elements of all three dresses became her dress. We chose her favorite silhouette, neckline and mixed up the embellishments to create the boquet-butterfly-fiesta party dress. The butterflies that I used as sequins on her dress have also been used by Martha Stuart to make this fab rainbow butterfly cake.
Check out these beautiful plastic butterflies that Katrin is currently working with for a wedding dress order… they are going to be sewn onto the dress itself! Such a beautiful and colorful splash of color for a summertime wedding

I want to order a bunch to keep for adorning cupcakes! What a great way to spruce up pretty much anything (and what’s even better is that they are reusable)!
Hope you enjoyed the sunshine of Easter weekend!
