Follow-up on the Bougez pour Haiti Benefit

Just a little follow-up concerning the fabulous event Ms. Sue Montgomery hosted to help raise money for a business school that was near destroyed during the tragic earthquake in Haiti…

$2,000 has been sent via personal donations to pay the rent of the school (had not been done since the earthquake itself) alongside important repairs.

There will be more updates posted during the month of June, alongside pictures of the progress and where more of the money will end up.  The organizers are all very gracious and would like to thank everyone for attending the 8th of May event and donating so generously!  Katrin donated over $400 in merchandise for the raffle and Erin (the boutiques manager) also contributed personally.  Just goes to show that little contributions on everyone’s part can really go a long way and change someone else’s future.

We gotta work together and help each other out!

Benefit for Haiti – Hosted by Sue Montgomery!

Sue Montgomery, writer extraordinaire for the Montreal Gazette (who covered the devastating earthquake in Haiti) will be hosting a fundraiser to raise money for the Decamuss Business School in Port au Prince Haiti this Saturday (the 8th of May 2010 starting at 8pm)!  Sue has remained a loyal KL enthusiast over the years, sporting Katrin’s beautiful designs both in her casual life as well as professional.  We love Sue!

Katrin has donated over $400 of merchandise to be raffled off for the benefit, and the store’s manager Erin has contributed personally as well!  Make sure to buy your tickets pronto for a night out of dancing and happy hour cocktail prices :) .
